China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment Committee (CNAS) announced on 24 December 2010 that the testing centre of Liaoning Zhongwang Group has been accredited the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (CNAS-CL01) certification. This reflects the high standards of the Group’s capability to provide four major types of testing services in mechanics, metallography, chemistry and lossless. The testing centre, which is an important one for Liaoning Zhongwang, together with the design centre and R&D centre, form the engineering research centre of the Group.

The certification is an international practice that serves as a proof of competency and is crucial to the promotion of trade, assurance of quality and development of society. The award of the CNAS certification empowers the Group to perform three tasks. First of all, with the accreditation under its belt, the centre can provide international authoritative written report on the testing results of its products. Secondly, the international recognition would help the Group remove the barriers arising from technological and trade barriers in international trade. Thirdly, in addition to endorsing the Group’s competency and influence in the international market, the Centre can provide relevant accreditation services to other organizations which do not have such accreditation by issuing them international authoritative written testing reports.

CNAS is a national agency authorized by Certification and Accreditation Administration of China in accordance with the Certification and Accreditation Regulation. The agency is engaged in the certification of certification bodies, laboratories and inspecting units.
