On 27 April, the Liaoyang Municipal Committee of the Communist Youth League held the Appraisal Award Meeting at Dianye Tower. Several divisions of Liaoning Zhongwang Group including the Die Workshop No. 1 were honoured as “2010 Civilized Youth Member of Liaoyang City”.

Mr. CHEN Qifu, Secretary of the League’s Liaoyang Municipal Committee, gave a speech at the ceremony and reaffirmed the contribution of the League’s branches at all levels to promoting the culture of “Civilized Youth Member” in light of the characteristics of various industries in Liaoyang.  Mr. Chen was highly impressed by the contribution of Liaoning Zhongwang Group and once again expressed his recognition for the outstanding performance of the Group’s die workshop.

Die Workshop No. 1 of Liaoning Zhongwang is an energetic unit consisting of young people who strive for achievement. As a result, the workshop has been identified as “Model Unit” by the Group for several times. Since the launch of “Civilized Youth Member” scheme, die Workshop No. 1 has successfully engaged young people in a wide range of civil activities backed by its own strengths and the Group’s support.

Capitalizing on the highly efficient die production techniques for aluminium extrusion products developed by the workshop, the youth in the workshop unleashed their talents and conducted in-depth research in large-section die for aluminium profiles for underground, metropolitan rails and high-speed rails etc. As a result, the workshop established a new body of die production technique with high complexity in 2010 which helped enhancing the Group’s development in aluminium extrusion products.

While increasing production efficiency, the workshop is committed to the “Implementation of Five Leading Strategies for Metropolitan Development” by Liaoyang City. The workshop rolled out various activities and integrated the value of “Civilized Youth Member” scheme into Liaoyang’s development initiative “I contribute to the Metropolitan”, which motivated junior staff to serve the community and become a role models for young people in Liaoyang.
