China Zhongwang has completed the production of ten 151 mm diameter crystallizers for use in casting rods and successfully carried out a trial run of casting rod production.
A key part in the production of casting rods, crystallizers require a high degree of precision and quality. Most crystallizers for use in casting rod production are imported. In light of this,
China Zhongwang decided to allocate resources to such production in a bid to reduce dependence on imports.
The production involves cartographics, precise parameters, polishing, processing and surface oxidation.
China Zhongwang has completed 50 crystallizers of five different diameters prior to the production of the 151 mm model.
The development of the crystallizer coolant hole double sided reentrant plate was the highlight in this production and resolved many of the problems encountered in previous operations.
The successful trial and use of the 151 mm diameter crystallizers have laid a solid foundation for the production of casting rods, representing a breakthrough of the Group in this area.
