On April 28, 2011, on behalf of the All China Federation of Trade Unions, the Liaoning City Labour Union announced the presentation of “National Labour Award” to China Zhongwang, turning a new chapter in the Group's development. This is the first time the Group has been awarded the highest praise in the field of national labour.

 

At the end of December 2011, the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China released the annual 2011 National Torch Plan Project evaluation results: China Zhongwang's commissioned project for the construction of aluminium alloy compartments and related parts for urban and high-speed railways was certified as a project in the National Torch Program. The inclusion of China Zhongwang’s project in the National Torch Program means that the group’s target in lightweight public transport has been recognized and supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, driving its development in the sector.

 

On July 1, 2011, China Zhongwang held a rally to celebrate the 90th anniversary of China’s Communist Party, with “Great Achievements, Glorious History” as the theme, with activities that inspired the Group at all levels and boosted morale towards Zhongwang’s future.

 

In April 2011, much attention was paid to the "2010 Top 100 Hong Kong-listed Mainland Chinese Companies” Award: China Zhongwang was honored to be a winner of the “Best Business Performance Award". This is one of the Group's most influential awards since its successful listing in Hong Kong.

 

On November 18, 2011, China Zhongwang and China Railway Materials Shenyang Company Limited, a subsidiary of China Railway Materials Commercial Corporation, signed a joint venture agreement for the establishment of CR Zhongwang Aluminium Company Limited in a signing ceremony in the Group’s financial conference room. Leaders from both sides signed the agreement. The establishment of CR Zhongwang put both sides on a broader and elevated platform to jointly contribute to the development of the railway industry, at home and in other parts of the world.

 

In September 2011, China Zhongwang was awarded the ISO3834 International Welding Fabricator Certification for the first time, representing yet another milestone reached in the area of welding. This not only demonstrated that China Zhongwang’s metal welding capability has reached the world standard but would also be beneficial in expanding the international sales of the Group’s welding products.

 

On September 24, 2011, Beijing-based “Manager Magazine” announced its selections for the “2011 10 Companies Influencing Chinese Management Practices” Award. Zhongwang became the only company in the industrial manufacturing sector to receive this honor. This indicates that the Group has become a role model for influencing business practices in China.

 

On April 8, 2011, China Zhongwang announced the opening of a new Hong Kong office for establishing a stronger platform to enhance communication with the investment community as well as for the purpose of international business expansion.

 

On November 21, 2011, China Zhongwang’s sixth production line for industrial smelting and casting was installed, which meant that the group had completed the expansion of its smelting and casting capacity and started test runs. The expansion, which marks another accomplishment of the Group based on the original smelting and casting project, not only meets large-size casting rod production needs, but also enhances product offerings. The project is expected to help the Group expand the production of industrial aluminium profiles and increase competitiveness.

 

In October 2011, China Zhongwang’s first 90MN extrusion press completed installation and was put into operation. This equipment has filled the need for large extrusion equipment in Zhongwang and will definitely drive the installation of other large equipment.
