China Zhongwang was awarded the second prize in Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Competition for its “Large and Complex Section Aluminum Alloy Extrusion Products.” This was the first honor ever received by the Group’s Science Unit.
The event was jointly held by the six government bodies, including the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Provincial Economy and Information Commission, the Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the Provincial Small-mid Enterprises Department. It intended to stimulate the passion and innovation of scientific and technical professionals, promote technological innovation capabilities and improve the economic efficiency of enterprises. Through joint collaboration among provincial and city governments, and enterprises, the contest further enhanced the technological innovation of enterprises.

China Zhongwang has stepped up its efforts in scientific and technological innovation. Its technology center was recognized as the “National Enterprise Technology Center” in 2012. The technology center has a provincial level post-doctoral research and development base and national-level laboratories which are equipped with globally advanced scientific instruments of RMB112.08 million. It also comes with 5 pilot lines for casting, extrusion, heat treatment, welding and surface treatment, and 6 professional research rooms and 22 analysis laboratories for new materials, engineering technology, deep-processing technology, corrosion protection, energy saving and environmental protection technology, and mold design and manufacturing technology. Currently, the technology center has fostered 5 teams, working on new materials development, new deep-processing aluminum alloy product technology, extrusion technology, micro alloy research, mold design and manufacturing technology.
