China Zhongwang added 18 large extrusion presses of 75MN or above, including nine 75MN, six 90MN and three 125MN extrusion presses from 2011 to 2012. During the visit, the team toured around the production plants, including the aluminium processing plant, smelting and casting plant, aluminium alloy carriage body manufacturing plant, among others, and enquired about the installation and operations progress of the large extrusion presses of 75MN and 90MN. 

 

Established in 1950, Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group is one of the most famous heavy machinery manufacturers, which designed and built the first heavy machinery plant in the nation. In 2012, China Zhongwang entered into an agreement with Taiyuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd., for the purchase of two sets of 225MN horizontal single action aluminium extrusion presses. These are the largest in the world at present and the core components of which are to be imported from Germany at a total consideration of approximately RMB707 million.

 

After China Zhongwang commenced its capacity expansion plan, the large extrusion presses were introduced as planned. As the related equipment gradually started production, the production capacity of high-precision, large-section, and high value-added industrial aluminium extrusion products was significantly enhanced.
