China Zhongwang’s two innovative technologies earned the honors of 2013 Liaoning Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. The ф582mm—7XXX hard aluminium alloy round ingot processing technology won the second prize whereas the EMU aluminium alloy extrusion technology won the third prize. On top of that, both technologies had received a number of provincial and city-level recognitions previously.
The ф582mm—7XXX hard aluminium alloy round ingot processing technology applies to smelting and casting of nonferrous metal and aluminium alloy. 7XXX hard aluminium alloys are characterized by superior strength and hardness, excellent physical and chemical properties, good corrosion resistance, high level in toughness and weldability, and are widely used in aviation, aerospace, transportation, machinery and equipment industries as the first choice for light-weight transportation equipment and nationalized material production.
EMU aluminium alloy extrusion technology is mainly used in special processing of aluminium alloy extrusion for bodies of high speed railways. The particular aluminium alloy extrusions, which are used in high speed railways such as the EMU, play key role in modern high-speed transportation. They are considered as the first choice in light-weight development.
China Zhongwang has long been focusing on lightweight development in transportation, machinery and electrical engineering. The Group attaches importance to investment in R&D and advanced equipment to increase its core competitiveness. Technological innovation enables the Group to achieve technology breakthrough in hard aluminium alloy round ingot processing and aluminium alloy extrusion processing, particularly in EMU cars. The Group’s cutting edge technology in aluminium alloy extrusions is evidenced by the numerous accolades it has received.
