Liaoning Scientific Technology Award was announced lately. China Zhongwang has been selected as winners in three of its technologies. Its “7N01 aluminum alloy components for high-speed train corbel technology” and “7-series large alloy extrusion die LC13-071 Manufacturing technology” were awarded the first prize, and “all-aluminium made high-speed rail carriage welding technique” received the second prize.
“7N01 aluminum alloy components for high-speed train corbel technology” consisted of large ingot casting and smelting technology, extrusion heat treatment technology and refined straightening technology. Hence, it can solve many technical difficulties including the complicated corbel stress structure.
“The 7-series large alloy extrusion die LC13-071 manufacturing technology” included dies heat treatment, surface treatment, level of extrusion…etc. It mainly optimized the die structure so as to reduce the pressure on the die during the extrusion process and also solved the problem of serious deformation. Moreover, it could also optimize the bypass bridge structure, improving the utilization rate of the die.
“The all-aluminium made high-speed rail carriage welding technique” mainly targeted at the roof, side wall, end wall and frame. It can solve the key problems of CRH train carriage welding and production and thus help the products attain the world standard.
These three technologies are the newest high-tech processing technologies. Not only is it central to advancing the group’s development in the relevant fields but also showing that China Zhongwang has achieved the highest level in special patented technologies such as high-speed train, large extrusion die and CRH carriage. The Group has also been committed to the development, production and operation of high-end products such as alloy industrial products, vehicle products and aluminium deep-processed products. Besides possessing a series of patented technologies, the Group has also effectively achieved technology transformation. Hence, the technology and product have lived up to the advanced level in China and even the world.
China Zhongwang has always been committed to product research and development, with the aim of achieving product differentiation with more sophisticated technologies and increasing the profitability in the long term. During the first half of 2014, the Group continued to increase its research and development efforts. Investment in research and development for the review period amounted to approximately RMB240 million, representing 3.0% of the overall revenue. The Group obtained 11 patents, including 4 invention patents and 7 utility model patents. At the same time,the Group worked with a number of large enterprises and major academic institutions to create mutually beneficial partnership and cooperate in the research and development of aluminium alloy products for novel applications in the transportation sector. New strategic partners solicited during the review period included AVIC SAC Commercial Aircraft Company Limited, Shenyang Aerospace University and Dalian University of Technology.
