Accompanied by its Asian merchandising center representative, Terry Sargeant, the executive president of Germany ThyssenKrupp (UK) paid a visit to China Zhongwang lately.

As an industrial giant in Germany, ThyssenKrupp was formerly merged by Thyssen and Krupp in 1999. Today, the group is a global conglomerate with a diverse business interest spanning across steel, automobile technology, mechanical manufacturing, engineering design and trade.

During the visit, both companies conducted an in-depth discussion and reached an agreement on how to solidify their growing collaboration in industrial aluminium field and the related areas. What is more, both companies have also signed the Memorandum of Cooperation. Prior to the signing, China Zhongwang has already initiated its collaboration with ThyssenKrupp’s offices in Germany, Belgium, Poland and Australia. This visit meant a further collaboration and inter-exchange from both parties.

As the major source of revenue and profit of the group, the sales volume and revenue of industrial aluminium extrusion products in China Zhongwang for the first half year of 2014 have risen by 14.1% and 10.6% respectively to 307,000 tonnes and RMB 6.54 billion. The sales revenue represented 82.3% of the total revenue of the group. As of now, the Group has 93 aluminium extrusion production lines with an annual capacity of over 1 million tonnes, ranking top in the global industry of aluminium processing. The Company has also ordered two 225MN horizontal single action aluminium extrusion presses, which will gradually commence production in 2015. The newly-added production facilities have effectively enhanced the quality and production efficiency of large-section industrial aluminium products, further enhancing its production strength.

As to deep-processed products, the Group has developed a series of new product prototypes in tandem with the light-weight development trend in transportation sector, such as aluminium fire trucks, garbage trucks, high-speed rail car bodies suitable for alpine cold regions and semi-trailers, arousing the interests of customers. By making further efforts to explore the rail transportation, commercial vehicles and specialty vehicles, the group will seize the opportunity of lightweight development in transportation industry.
