China Zhongwang to Further Expand the Capacity of Further fabrication by Adding New Extrusion Presses

Recently, three new extrusion presses have been introduced by China Zhongwang to further enhance the Group’s production and process capability, and to strengthen its equipment strengths. Trial operation of these presses has commenced after the completion of installation and testing.

 

On top of its existing industrial aluminium extrusion business, the Group extended its scope of operations to the further fabrication business and implemented its development plans for the aluminium flat rolled business since 2011, forming a preliminiary business structure with three resource-sharing and complementary core businesses. The further fabrication centre commenced production in 2013, a series of new aluminium products for the transportation sector have been developed ever since, including high value-added further fabricated products with promising market potentials, such as aluminium-intensive fire trucks, refuse collection vehicles, semi-trailers, oil tank trucks and railway carriages. These products have attracted enormous market attention as they can bring long-term economic benefits to customers.

 

According to the Group’s results for the first three quarters of 2014, sales revenue from aluminium further fabricated products recorded a 22.7% growth to RMB1.38 billion. Currently, further fabricated products were primarily for export, with the U.S. being the main overseas market. Overseas revenue surged by 29.8% to approximately RMB1.70 billion for the review period.
