On 19 May, two main motors of the 4500mm hot rough rolling mill for the aluminium flat rolled product project in Tianjin Zhongwang commenced operation. All the monitoring indicators of the main motors showed normal during the two-hour operation, paving way for the trial production of the equipment. 

Since April 2015, the 4500mm hot rough rolling mill commenced its test run and performed the testing of security system, control system and main motor system when they were at no-load. Later on, the machine would perform a test run as planned and get ready for the operation in the second half of this year. 

Imported from German SMS, 4500mm hot rough rolling mill is the globally advanced four-high reversing roughing mill. It is the critical equipment in wide plate production line. 

The roughing mill is equipped with automatic controlling systems to control the section-cutting, temperature and hot rolling process of the products. The systems use digital displays and are centrally controlled by computers to ensure the products’ quality.
