Recently, Tianjin Zhongwang Smelting and Casting Plant held a ceremony of igniting the furnace. After nearly one hour of continuous observation, all equipment indicators were shown normal. On-site personnel said that this furnace would last for 15-20 days and the first batch of alumina hydrate was expected to be produced at the end of August. The success will lay a solid foundation for subsequent loading production. 

The furnace equipment is imported from Switzerland Gautschi. Its advantages include but not limit to low energy consumption, high efficiency and only 50-54 Nm3 of natural gas needed for each tonne of aluminium.
