On September 14, Tianjin Municipal Committee and Organization Minister Mr Yin Deming and his team visited the Tianjin Zhongwang plant. The delegation examined the first production line’s hot rolling plant.

After the visit, the delegation attentively listened as Tianjin Zhongwang management provided updates on the progress of the project, the schedule of the next production line and issues that will need to be resolved during the course of the project. The delegation expressed that the Tianjin Zhongwang aluminium project is a key project that will be of great significance to the development of Tianjin.

Founded in June 2011, Tianjin Zhongwang Aluminum Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned-subsidiary of China Zhongwang. The plant will be the world’s largest aluminium processing plant in terms of scale, production capacity, product comprehensiveness and modernization. Currently, the Phase I of the construction for Tianjin Zhongwang’s high value-added aluminium flat rolled products project has entered a critical stage. Phase I has two production lines with a designed annual production capacity of 1.8 million tonnes. At present, plant construction and equipment installation of the first production line has been almost completed. The equipment testing of the entire production line is being carried out, and it is expected to enter trial operation as scheduled, followed by formal operation by the end of this year.
