An expert team of Unmanned Helicopter Project from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (“CASC”) visited Liaoning Zhongwang Group. Leaders from Liaoning Provincial Development & Reform Commission and municipal governments joined as well.
The expert group from CASC visited the Group’s exhibition hall, deep-processing center, aluminium car body production mill and No.2 aluminium processing mill.
Zhang Rui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of Liaoning Zhongwang Group, introduced the Company’s comprehensive advantages and development potential in aerospace and aviation and other relevant high-end applications. She expects to realize mutual benefits and cooperation through joint efforts.
Wang Huaiyi, Chairman of CASC Expert Panel, recognized the Group’s achievements in terms of products and technologies in sectors including aerospace and aviation, special vehicle and automobile. He also expressed willing on behalf of CASC to work with Liaoning Zhongwang Group to achieve cooperation in this field.
As one of the first innovative enterprises in China, CASC created two milestones, namely manned spaceship and deep space exploration, owns famous brands including “Shenzhou” and “Changzheng” and their intellectual property rights. It takes up all tasks of developing, producing and launching of universe products including launch vehicles, applications satellites, manned spacecraft, space stations, deep space exploration spacecraft. At the same time, it focuses on development of aerospace technology and application industry including satellite applications and products, information technology products, new energy and new material products, special aerospace technology applications, special vehicles, automobile components and space biological products.
China Zhongwang has rich experience in exploring and practicing in aluminium products applied in aerospace and aviation. In 2013, targeted for the specifications, features and strict quality requirements of Aluminium materials in aerospace and aviation sector, Zhongwang launched development project of “7075 Extrusion Billets for Aviation Applications”. In 2015, 7075 alloy thin-walled structure component for civil aviation was successfully developed by Zhongwang, which met the requirement on design and manufacture of civil aviation, and laid the foundation for the Company to enter aviation manufacturing. In the same year, Zhongwang became a member of the “National Upstream/Downstream Cooperation Mechanism for Aluminium Aviation Products” established by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the PRC. It also set up Liaoning Joint Research and Development Laboratory for Aviation and Aerospace Aluminium Alloys with Shenyang Aerospace University and AVIC SAC Commercial Aircraft Company Limited.
In addition, the Company’s Aluminium Flat-Rolled Products Project in Tianjin has started trial production. The first production line will mainly produce medium-to-high thickness aluminium plates to be used in transportation sector, including aerospace and aviation, vessels, commercial vehicles and rail vehicles, and chemical containers. Upon production, it is expected to alleviate the current situation of the nation’s reliance on import for high-end products.
