Zhongwang was principally engaged in the production of construction aluminium extrusions for door and window frames after its establishment. Following the continuous expansion of its scale, Zhongwang made a significant strategic planning in 2002 to shift from a construction aluminium extrusion manufacturer to an industrial aluminium extrusion manufacturer, thereby securing its foothold in the domestic aluminium fabrication field.

 

In 2011, on top of its existing industrial aluminium extrusion business, Zhongwang further expanded its business scope into the deep processing business and flat rolling business which required more advanced technologies.

 

In 2016, Zhongwang successfully became a tier one supplier by improving share of deep-processed products with high added value and provision of more end products to customers, eventually transforming from a high-end fabricated aluminium material supplier to an integrated light-weight solutions provider.

 

 

For manufacturing enterprises, it is crucial to transform their scientific achievements into competitive new products. In addition to developing its own strengths, Zhongwang’s R&D team has been striving for constant breakthroughs in the development of high-end products through cooperation with various universities and research institutions. Zhongwang is one of the few domestic enterprises that are capable of developing and producing aluminium extruded body parts for high-speed trains with a speed of 300km/h, 350km/h and 400km/h, such as large-section wide plates for their locomotives. Moreover, Zhongwang’s competitive edge also lies in its comprehensive strengths of independently designing and manufacturing of new-energy vehicles and buses as well as its significant breakthroughs in vehicle design and integrated design of aluminium alloy battery frames.

 

While maintaining its leading position in the aluminium extrusion business field in the world, Zhongwang is striving to develop the deep processing and aluminium flat rolling business. After years of planning and construction, the first production line of Tianjin aluminium flat-rolled product project is currently undergoing trial production and is expected to commence production by the end of the year.

 

As per the “Golden Great Wall Award” organizers, the development strategies of “Made in China 2025” and “Internet +” pushed by the Government will enhance Chinese manufacturing industry’s position in the global value chain.
